In classrooms at all levels, there has been a steady push for a (re-)focus on STEAM. Teachers are being challenged to incorporate more Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics into their classrooms. The A of this equation…the ARTS…is the piece that often struggles to be meaningfully included. The challenge for teachers is often how to make meaningful connections between the Arts and the subjects or topics they teach. In this time together, we will work at Full STEAM on generating and testing ideas to connect the arts (Drama? Cubism? Sculpture? Conceptual Art? Music? Surrealism?) to our present or future classroom experiences. Creativity and curiosity are the only requirements to have some fun and to leave with some ideas on how you might incorporate the arts into your next classroom!
