This session integrates the intersectionality of both dis/ability (ableism) and giftedness also known as Twice-exceptional (2e) students. This population of students are best served with both special education and gifted and talented support due to their varying exceptionalities. This session will include 2e foundational research, the inclusion of talent development plans, and emphasize the importance of collaboration between departments or educators and ways to support the process to improve outcomes for 2e students including cross-curricular activities.
