Teaching and advocating for gifted and talented children is a complex and challenging effort – an art as well as a science. Understanding the characteristics and needs of children in this population is crucial to the success of those efforts. This session will present an overview of the various perspectives of who are the gifted, how many are there, how are they best identified, how are they best served, and why advocates have such a challenge seeking support for the gifted.
